Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed his deep sadness and regret regarding the tragic incident that occurred on Sunday evening during the “Labo Labo” festival in Vancouver, which resulted in a number of casualties, both dead and injured.
Carney said in an official statement: “I am deeply shocked by the horrific events witnessed at the Labo Labo festival in Vancouver this evening. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and the injured, to the Canadian Filipino community, and to all residents of Vancouver. We all grieve with you during this difficult time.”
He added: “We are closely monitoring the situation, and we express our sincere gratitude to the emergency teams and first responders for their swift intervention and the high level of professionalism they have shown in the face of this tragedy.”
Carney reaffirmed his government's full solidarity with the local community and all those affected by this horrific incident.
