Ottawa police are investigating a murder at Barhaven after finding a man dead.

Ottawa police are conducting an investigation into a murder that occurred in the Barhaven area after a man was found dead on Friday evening.

The police reported that they received a call around 5:15 PM indicating there was a body at the intersection of BOND HOLLOW WAY and GOLF LINKS DRIVE, near Stonebridge Golf Course.

A 58-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, with no details provided about where he was found or his identity. The police also closed BOND HOLLOW WAY to traffic while the forensic team was on site until late at night.

The police confirmed that no one has been arrested yet, but they do not believe there is a danger to public safety.
