A man in his twenties was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after the car he was driving crashed into a house in Scarborough early this Friday.
Emergency responders were called to the home, located in the area of Elsmere Road and Scarborough Golf Club, shortly before 5 a.m.
Photos from the scene show the car sitting with its trunk open amid a pile of debris in the home's garage area.
Toronto police said the house was occupied at the time of the incident, but no reports of injuries were received other than the driver.
Toronto paramedics said they transported the man to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The police said it is still unclear what caused the crash.
