The Wall Street Journal reported that the recent Israeli attacks may delay the production of Iranian solid-fuel missiles by up to a year. The newspaper noted that some American officials confirmed that production could be affected for this period or perhaps longer.

According to the newspaper, the Israeli strikes target what are known as planetary mixers, devices used to mix the solid components of rocket fuel. Specialized experts explained that replacing these mixers in the event of damage is not an easy task.

Although most Iranian missiles use liquid fuel, the Israeli attacks were aimed at hitting some of Iran's most important weapon programs, according to the article.

The Associated Press reported, based on satellite images, that the Shahroud Space Center belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, specialized in ballistic missile production and Iran's space program, was damaged due to the Israeli bombing. Other Western media outlets, citing American experts, also reported that the Israeli attacks included the Parchin military complex and the Khojir ballistic missile factory near Tehran.

In a related context, the Israeli army announced last week that it had carried out attacks on military targets in Iran in response to the attacks that targeted Israel on October 1st. Axios reported, citing sources, that the Israeli strikes disrupted the production of ballistic missiles in Iran by destroying the mixers used in the production of solid rocket fuel.
