The police have charged two other individuals in connection with the fatal shooting incident that occurred in Brampton in August.
The Peel Regional Police were called to a house on Milestone Drive and Saint Tropez Court just before 1 a.m. on August 30 in search of a suspicious vehicle.
When they arrived, police said they found a man with gunshot wounds inside the vehicle, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers said that the victim's identity has not been disclosed at the family's request.
In September, the police charged 23-year-old Parmveer Singh with first-degree murder.
Police stated in a press release issued on Saturday that they have charged two other individuals in connection with the shooting.
The police have charged 21-year-old Manveer Khabra and an 18-year-old man, both from Brampton, with manslaughter, and the charges have not yet been brought to court.
Officers indicated that since the 18-year-old was a young person at the time of the incident, his identity is protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A local media outlet has obtained video that appears to show the moments leading up to the victim’s death.
The video shows an SUV parked on the side of the road, and a person can be heard demanding to be let into the vehicle.
The SUV then speeds away, and gunshots can be heard shortly after.
Four people were seen fleeing the area, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact them at
905-453-2121, extension 3205, or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
