Ottawa – Arab Canada News
The latest opinion poll conducted by Nanos Research and published on Tuesday shows that the Liberal Party of Canada, led by Mark Carney, is ahead by 8 percentage points over the Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre, as the federal election campaign enters its fourth week.
According to the poll conducted by the network for CTV News and The Globe and Mail, the Liberal Party received 45.4% support, compared to 37.1% for the Conservative Party, reflecting a widening gap after a series of electoral debates and prominent statements from party leaders.
The New Democratic Party, led by Jagmeet Singh, recorded support of 8.3%, while the Bloc Québécois received 5.6%, the Green Party 2.9%, and the People's Party of Canada came in last with only 7%.
These results indicate that the Liberals are in a relatively stronger position, while the Conservatives face a challenge in regaining electoral momentum as the voting date approaches. Despite the Liberal lead in general percentages, some electoral districts remain crucial and competitive, leaving the door open for surprises in the coming days.
It is worth noting that the Nanos poll relies on telephone and online interviews with more than 1,000 Canadian voters, with a margin of error of approximately ±3.0%.
