A person was killed in a collision involving six vehicles on Highway 400 in Innisfil on Friday evening.
Police said that a road rage incident between two vehicles in the southbound lanes of Highway 400 near Highway 89 led to the initial crash at around 5:30 PM.
One of the vehicles crossed into the middle lane, overturned, and collided with a pickup truck in the northbound lanes.
Police stated that the driver of that vehicle, a 21-year-old young man from Mississauga, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The highway was closed between Highway 89 and County Road 88 in Cookstown. All lanes were reopened around 4 AM on Saturday.
No charges have been laid at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with footage of the incident to contact the police.
