The Canadian ambassador to the United States, Kirsten Hillman, confirmed that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is seeking to arrange a call with former U.S. President Donald Trump as part of efforts to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.

Hillman mentioned in an interview with Fox News that Carney respects the economic goals that Trump seeks, focusing on achieving common economic interests and strengthening trade cooperation.

She explained that the Canadian government recognizes the importance of maintaining stable economic relations with the United States amid current global challenges.
