The Canadian city of Sarnia witnessed a horrific kidnapping incident, where a 22-year-old girl was abducted and threatened with an axe following a violent intrusion into her home on Friday.

According to the police, they were called to a house in the area between Confederation and Stewart streets around 1:00 PM, after the young woman arrived at the door of the house in a panic, not wearing appropriate clothing for the weather, and informed the residents of the house that she had been kidnapped.

Investigations revealed that two men and a woman broke into the victim's home, one of whom was carrying an axe. The victim was assaulted inside her home before being forced to get into a vehicle that was waiting for them. While being held in the vehicle, she continued to be assaulted until the suspects decided to release her and pushed her out of the car.

The police were able to arrest one of the suspects at a house on Brock Street, where the vehicle used in the kidnapping was found. Charges of kidnapping and violent intrusion have been filed against a 30-year-old man from the Petrolia area.

Investigations are ongoing

The police confirmed that the incident was targeted and that there is currently no threat to public safety. Authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
