Ottawa - Arabs Canada News
At Arabs Canada News, we continue to work around the clock to develop the digital infrastructure of the site and its various applications, within an ambitious plan and a committed media vision aimed at establishing its position as one of the most widespread and reliable Arabic news platforms in the diaspora, and the strongest in journalistic performance and independent professional discourse, to become an inspiring model in immigrant media that serves the communities and conveys their pulse without borders or restrictions.
Despite the recent cyber attack targeting the site in a desperate attempt to distort it, by turning its news course into offensive pornographic content, we confirm that this assault, though violent and unethical, has not affected our journalistic commitment or the integrity of our message. The technical team monitored, last night and during the past weeks, intense suspicious activity and attacks from an unknown source, targeting the digital infrastructure of the site directly, seeking to disrupt its content, sabotage its editorial system, and damage its reputation and that of its editor-in-chief.
Despite activating preemptive protection systems, the recent attack was not just an attempt at random sabotage, but rather a systematic attack with a clear intention to silence a free and independent media voice, which serves as a platform for awareness and integration, truthfully conveying the issues and concerns of Arab communities in Canada, and reflecting their aspirations for a homeland that embraces everyone.
However, the attack, though malicious, did not succeed in extinguishing the flame of the site, nor in affecting its professional commitment. On the contrary, it has fueled a new impetus to continue and expand its independent media message, to further develop its editorial tools, and to open its doors to literary, cultural, political, and economic contributions that elevate the level of public discussion and solidify the presence of Arab communities in the Canadian space.
They have tried to obscure the written truth as they have attempted to silence the visual and audio words and the personalities before... but we believe that the truth cannot be confiscated nor can it be suppressed by such cheap behaviors, and that the free word is stronger than to be violated. Therefore, we renew our pledge to remain faithful to our profession, to our message, and to our dear readers.
