The police in the Tinley Park area of suburban Chicago announced that a man killed his wife and three daughters by shooting them.

The police suspect that the motive for the crime was a family quarrel, and the perpetrator has been arrested pending investigation.

ABC News reported that the shooting occurred inside a home in the suburb of Tinley Park south of Chicago.

When the police arrived at the scene, officers found four women dead inside the house, all shot, and the man was found unharmed inside the house.

The police confirmed that the man is in custody, and investigators told ABC7 that the suspected shooter is the husband and father of the victims.

The Cook County medical examiner identified the victims as: Majida Qasim (53 years old), Halima Qasim (25), Zahia Qasim (25), and Hanan Qasim (24), and they appear to be of Arab origin.

The police remained at the crime scene to investigate and confiscated the weapon used in the crime.
