Ottawa - Arab Canada News

The results of the mock federal election held among Canadian school students showed that the Conservative Party, led by Pierre Poilievre, garnered the majority of votes, ahead of the other major parties in the country. This symbolic election is part of an educational initiative aimed at enhancing political awareness among youth and empowering them to understand the mechanisms of the democratic system in Canada.

According to the results released by the "Student Vote" program, which organized the voting in thousands of schools across the country, the Conservatives won more than 90 seats, reflecting a Conservative trend among the participating youth. The Liberal Party came in second, followed by the New Democratic Party, while other parties like the Bloc Québécois, the Greens, and the People's Party of Canada fell to lower rankings.

More than 850,000 students from 6,000 schools participated in this vote, casting their ballots for candidates representing actual electoral districts, offering an early glimpse into the emerging perceptions regarding policies and national issues.

Although the results of this vote are not binding, they are an important indicator of future trends and the positions of the next generation of voters. It is noted that the Conservative Party had also achieved strong results in previous election simulations; however, the voting tendencies of young voters do not always align with the outcomes of the general election.
