Toronto - Sunday: Canada is preparing to transition to daylight saving time on Sunday, March 9, 2025, when clocks will be set one hour forward at 2:00 AM local time, becoming 3:00 AM. This change is known as "spring forward," and it aims to increase the evening daylight hours.
It is noted that daylight saving time in Canada usually begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November. During this period, clocks are set one hour ahead in the spring, and then returned to standard time in the fall, known as "fall back."
It is worth mentioning that most Canadian provinces observe daylight saving time, except for some areas like Saskatchewan, which adheres to standard time year-round.
As this change approaches, Canadians are advised to adjust their clocks and plan ahead to adapt to the new time, to ensure they make the most of the additional evening daylight.
