More snow is expected to fall on Britain, after heavy ice covered parts of the United Kingdom yesterday, Monday, as temperatures dropped to as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius at night, during a cold wave expected to last for weeks.

The British newspaper "The Independent" reported today, Tuesday, that more snow is expected to fall on the highlands today and tomorrow, Wednesday, with forecasts that colder temperatures will dominate the weather throughout next February.

Due to icy conditions this week, the UK Health Security Agency has issued weather warnings across England, in effect until next Friday, warning of increased risk of deaths and other "significant impacts" on health and social care services in the country.

Meanwhile, more than 100 flood warnings remain in place, after heavy rains and strong winds were witnessed last week, caused by Storm "Henk," which struck large parts of Britain.
