The U.S. State Department said today, Sunday, that more than 6,400 American citizens in Israel have filled out online forms requesting information about potential evacuation flights, amid the ongoing security escalation in the region.
The State Department clarified that between 300 to 500 Americans may need evacuation assistance daily, while confirming that the United States has already evacuated 79 diplomatic staff and their families from its embassy in Tel Aviv.
This comes as part of the accelerating preparations being made by Washington in anticipation of any further escalation, amid reports of emergency military and security preparations in the region.
