The American authorities announced that eight people were injured, some of them with burns, as a result of an attack that took place on Sunday in Boulder, Colorado, where the assailant used a primitive device resembling a flamethrower and threw an incendiary device at a group participating in a peaceful march to support the Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reported that the suspect, Muhammad Sabri Suleiman, 45 years old, was taken into custody at the scene and faces charges related to the attack, which is being investigated as an act of terrorism.

The attack occurred at the Pearl Street shopping center, where the group "Run For Their Lives" was organizing a peaceful march to raise awareness about the hostages. Reports indicated that the suspect was chanting slogans during the attack.

The injured, aged between 52 and 88 years old, were taken to local hospitals, and two of them were transferred to a specialized burn treatment unit in Aurora.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis condemned the attack, describing it as a "hate crime" targeting the Jewish community. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also expressed his solidarity with the victims, affirming that the attack targeted "peaceful individuals" because of their religious identity.

Investigations are still ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information about the assailant's motives and background.
