Toronto police have arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old young man in connection with a fatal shooting incident last month in the west end of the city, but two suspects are still at large.
The incident occurred on February 6, just before 1:30 a.m., in the Bloordale Village neighborhood, near Bloor Street West and Lansdowne Avenue.
The police said they found the victim, identified as 18-year-old Issa Gongar, suffering from trauma to his body, and despite life-saving measures, he died from his injuries in the hospital shortly after.
Police also announced on Friday that they charged 19-year-old Hassan Farhat and a 17-year-old boy, both from Montreal, with second-degree murder in connection to the incident, and the boy's identity cannot be disclosed under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Investigators exchanged photos of two prominent suspects aged 19, both wanted for second-degree murder in relation to the shooting.
The first suspect is Dan Hakizimana, and the second is Fadel Naim.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
