A 51-year-old woman died after suffering serious injuries in a stabbing attack on Monday in Saint-Basile-le-Grand, QC, on Montreal's South Shore.
Local police said the incident occurred around midnight at a house on Minard Street, between Patriotes and Principale streets.
The woman was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition where she later died from her injuries.
Police arrested a 53-year-old man at the scene. His relationship to the victim is still unknown at this time.
According to Radio-Canada, the woman's two teenage children were at the house at the time of the incident and are being questioned by investigators.
