The Canadian weather service expects that some Canadian provinces will experience a series of thunderstorms and a strong heatwave.

It also warned of deteriorating air quality during this week.

This includes northern Alberta, including Mackenzie County and Wood Buffalo, where temperatures are expected to exceed 30 degrees Celsius throughout the week, and the weather service expects the intensity of the heat to gradually break by tomorrow, Wednesday.

Some areas in British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan are expected to experience similar temperatures.

Heat warnings are also included in all territories, including Fort Simpson and High River in the Northwest Territories.

Temperatures are likely to reach between 29 to 35 degrees Celsius during daytime hours.

Forecasts also indicate that air quality warnings are in effect in areas also under heat warnings.

Warnings for areas in northern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba state that smoke from wildfires may cause poor air quality, affecting visibility levels.

In the coming days, northern Ontario and Quebec will see a deterioration of weather conditions, especially regarding air quality.

The Canadian Environment Ministry's statement warned that smoke columns moving over northwestern Ontario from a mix of wildfires in the northern prairies and northern Ontario have led to deteriorated air quality.
