A statement by the Canadian Hurricane Centre (CHC) revealed that the latest path of Hurricane Ernesto has a massive storm passing south of Nova Scotia as it moves across the Atlantic Ocean.

In a statement issued by the Canadian Hurricane Centre (CHC) in Dartmouth yesterday, Wednesday, meteorologists said they are closely monitoring the progress of this year's hurricane season storm.

The experts believed that the storm's center is expected to be south of Nova Scotia as it moves northeast.

The committee stated that the storm will continue to push northward toward Bermuda today and will reach over that island on Saturday.

Before reaching Bermuda, the storm is expected to strengthen to a category 3 level, leading to large waves in the ocean, which are anticipated to start arriving at the coast of Nova Scotia on Saturday and will create dangerous currents for surfing and winds by Sunday.

Meteorologists confirmed last night, Wednesday, that "it is still too early to know if any of the storm's rotation will reach Nova Scotia."

CHC stated in the release that Ernesto's impact on the weather over Newfoundland and Labrador is a "slightly greater" possibility.

Meteorologists say they plan to issue another update on the storm's development this afternoon, Thursday.

CHC predicts that the Atlantic hurricane season will be busy with up to 17-25 named storms.
