Ontario experienced heavy rainfall yesterday, Sunday, with more wet conditions and the possibility of thunderstorms.

Residents of Mississauga, Brampton, and the Durham region are expected to wake up to mostly cloudy skies, while Halton and Hamilton will see a mix of sun and clouds.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton, and Durham starting from the morning until the afternoon.

Although rain is not anticipated in Hamilton, it will be quite windy with speeds starting at 30 km/h and rising during the day to 60 km/h before calming down by evening.

Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 22 degrees Celsius in Mississauga, Brampton, and Halton, while in Hamilton it will be 21 degrees Celsius, and Durham will see 20 degrees Celsius.

The ultraviolet index will reach a high level of 6 in all cities.

The Canadian Ministry of Environment advised to protect your skin when the ultraviolet index is three or higher, especially between 10 AM and 4 PM.

You will also feel a bit uncomfortable as humidity rises to 25.

The Canadian Ministry of Health states that if outdoors, individuals should seek shade, wear protective clothing and hats, apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, avoid tanning, use UV-protective sunglasses, and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Sunset will be at 8:26 PM – six minutes earlier than last week.

In the evening, skies will become mostly cloudy across the region.

There is a 60 percent chance of rain returning, which could turn into thunderstorms overnight. Active winds will blow at 40 km/h before calming down late in the evening.

Temperatures will drop to a cooler fall-like range of 13 degrees Celsius to 14 degrees Celsius, and there are a few more rainy days on the horizon before sunshine and clear skies return on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Friday, residents can expect a mix of sunshine, clouds, and rain.
