Ottawa allocates 110 million dollars for the anti-racism strategy in Canada.

Federal Minister of Diversity, Inclusion, and Persons with Disabilities, Kamal Kheira, announced that the Government of Canada is investing $110.4 million in a strategy to combat racism and discrimination.

Kheira added in a press statement in this regard that the funds will support hundreds of projects and change the lives of thousands of Canadians.

She also mentioned that this strategy includes the voices and experiences of thousands of Canadians and strengthens the government's approach to combating racism and discrimination in all its forms.

The new federal government strategy, Canada's Anti-Racism Strategy, will extend from 2024 to 2028.

She pointed out that more than half of the funds, $70 million, will be directed to local initiatives across the country; to ensure that communities have the necessary resources to combat racism and discrimination.

Kheira reported that the aim of this strategy is to address all forms of racism and bring about positive change in the lives of Canadians.
