The Canadian police announced the discovery of a young man's body after it was swept away by water in Nova Scotia, a Canadian province that has been hit by the remnants of the storm Beril in the past hours.

Additionally, the city's infrastructure suffered severe damage.
Swiss Radio /LAC/ reported from the authorities there: "The victim was playing with his friends in Boulfeville Park, a small town with a population of 5,000, when a flash flood occurred, sweeping him into a water-filled pit."

Firefighters also had to intervene in several other areas of the province to evacuate people whose homes were inundated by water, and floods swept away at least one bridge, with several roads still closed to traffic. More than 100 mm of rain fell within a few hours, according to the Canadian Meteorological Agency. After crossing the Caribbean region as a hurricane, Beril killed eight people in the United States.
