North Korea expressed today, Tuesday, its disinterest in former President Donald Trump's statements regarding his good relationship with the regime, marking its first reaction to the repeated boasting by the U.S. presidential candidate about his friendship with the country's leader, Kim Jong Un, according to the South Korean news agency (Yonhap).
During his recent speech accepting the Republican Party's nomination for the presidential election, Trump stated that he is "strongly in sync" with him, clearly indicating his desire to reconnect with Kim.
Trump said, "It is a good thing to be in sync with someone who has a lot of nuclear weapons or otherwise... When I return, I will be in sync with him... He also wants to meet me again... I think he misses me."
Yonhap reported that the Korean Central News Agency stated that Trump's remarks supported a "stuck desire" regarding the prospects of relations between North Korea and the United States, but it urged America to make the right choice on matters related to how to deal with North Korea, regardless of who will be in the White House.
