In an unprecedented warning, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, during a campaign event in Reno, Nevada, emphasized the potential risks of former President Donald Trump winning a second term.

Harris described Trump as “unstable, obsessed with revenge, and seeking unchecked power,” pointing out the significant impact Trump's victory could have on the country.

In her remarks, Harris said: “In less than 90 days, either he or I will be sitting in the Oval Office. Listen, this is what we can imagine, right? We've all seen it on television; you've seen the Oval Office.”

She added: “Imagine what that day will be like, because if he is elected, Donald Trump will walk into that office on day one with a list of enemies. While when I am elected, I will walk in with a to-do list on your behalf.”

It is noteworthy that Trump has previously referred to some Democratic leaders as “the enemy from within,” and has threatened legal action against election officials and political activists whom he believes might cheat in the 2024 elections, increasing political tensions in the country.

Amid this charged atmosphere, Harris reaffirmed her commitment to focus on core issues that matter to voters, including lowering costs, passing tax cuts for the middle class, and providing affordable housing, reflecting a fundamental difference in priorities between the two parties.

Additionally, this election campaign is considered one of the most contentious in U.S. history, with political and social divisions clearly evident. Experts have noted that the upcoming elections will not only shape the future of American politics but will also reflect new trends in public thinking about democracy and justice in the country.
