The assistant of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's coordinating affairs, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, stated that soon "more crushing blows will be seen against Israel, surprising it with new measures, initiatives, and innovations."
During a speech at a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of student Hossein Fahmideh (killed during the Iran-Iraq war) at "Behesht Zahra" in Tehran, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi explained: "The 36,000 martyr students who we invited to this ceremony today are the true hosts of this event, the martyrs like Mohammad Hossein Fahmideh, who were the creators of great epics and field leaders for our country during the sacred defense era and in the areas of establishing security and confronting hypocrisy."
Brigadier General Naqdi continued: "The young students have always been the prominent creators of epics in the Islamic Revolution, inspiring society with sacrifice, tolerance, and giving their lives for the path of truth. If today the people of Palestine and Gaza are toying with death, it started from here, from the residents of these illuminated graves," and added: "The martyrs were inspiring and field leaders, and they were the key to this great resistance movement. Today, all of humanity owes these martyrs, not just us and the student community at home, but this great awakening that has occurred in the world is the result and outcome of the resistance and standing firm of these youths, and today we see that the enemy has been defeated, so 'Israel' is practically powerless and in need of America."
He added: "The enemy knows that many things are happening in the field of resistance, that progress is being made and more weapons are being obtained, and that enemy tactics are being neutralized... Our nation is proud that it does not depend on any other power but relies on its national capabilities in the field of weaponry."
Earlier, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, commented on the recent Israeli attack on Iran, stating that "the bitter consequences of the Israeli crime cannot be imagined by the occupiers."
Israel launched an attack early Saturday, October 26, on "military sites" in Iran, in response to the Iranian missile strike against Israel on October 1, which was itself a response to the assassination of the Secretary-General of "Hezbollah" Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah, and the Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.
Tehran has confirmed that it "retains the right to respond legitimately to these criminal attacks at the appropriate time."
