The Niagara police announced the detention of a person after two dead individuals were found in a house in St. Catharines, Ontario, yesterday Thursday.
The police stated that officers responded to the incident at a house near Lorneg Queenstone streets at 9 a.m., and when they arrived, they found the bodies of a man and a woman inside.
The police also reported that the homicide unit has taken over the investigation, and the cause of death has not been disclosed.
The police added in a press statement yesterday afternoon: "At this time, there is nothing to indicate that this was a random act of violence."
It is unclear whether the person knew the victims or not, and the police are asking anyone with information to contact the homicide investigators at option 3, 4111-688-905 1009451 .ext or Crime Stoppers.
