More than 100 Palestinians were martyred, and dozens were injured, at dawn today, Saturday, in a new massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the displaced in the city of Gaza.
Local sources reported that the occupation's warplanes bombed the "Al-Tabaeen" school, which shelters displaced people in the Al-Daraj neighborhood east of Gaza City, with three direct missiles while the displaced were performing the dawn prayer, according to the Palestinian news and information agency "Wafa".
They added that the bombing led to the martyrdom and injury of most of the displaced in the school, while rescue and civil defense teams were unable to recover the bodies of all the martyrs, amid fears of a rise in the number of martyrs.
Rescue teams clarified that most of the injuries that were transported to the Arab National Hospital are in very critical condition, and there are large quantities of body parts and mangled bodies inside the hospital that have not been identified.
With the targeting of the "Al-Tabaeen" school, the number of schools that shelter the displaced and have been bombed by the occupation in the city of Gaza alone during just one week rises to 6.
Last Thursday, 15 people were martyred and dozens were injured, including children, as a result of the targeting of the occupation’s warplanes at the "Al-Zahraa" and "Abdul Fattah Hamoud" schools, which house displaced people in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
On August 4, 30 people were martyred and dozens, most of whom were children, were injured in a bombing that targeted Al-Nasr and Hassan Salameh schools in the Al-Nasr neighborhood west of Gaza City.
The day before, on August 3, 16 people were martyred and others were injured in a bombing that targeted the Hamama school, which shelters displaced people in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the north of the city.
The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the Gaza Strip, by land, air, and sea, since October 7, which resulted in the martyrdom of 39,699 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 91,722 others, in a non-final count, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, and the rescue and ambulance crews are unable to reach them.
