The Texas Attorney General's Office has announced that Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the administration of U.S. President Joe Biden.

The Attorney General's statement mentioned that the lawsuit is based on the administration's failure to respond to Paxton's request to verify the citizenship of 450,000 registered voters in the state.

The statement clarified: "Attorney General Paxton filed the lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security and other members of the Biden and Harris administration for their failure to comply with a federal law requiring the verification of the citizenship of voters who may not be eligible to vote."

According to the statement, the Attorney General's Office sent a letter to federal authorities in early October, containing a list of 450,000 voters whose citizenship had not been verified at the time of their registration.

However, the authorities at the White House have yet to receive any response.

It is worth noting that federal law only permits U.S. citizens to vote in federal elections, and Republicans insist that the large number of illegal immigrants who have entered the country during the Biden and Kamala Harris administration could be used to support Democratic party candidates in the upcoming elections.

In the 2020 presidential election, the margin between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden in Texas was about 630,000 votes in favor of Trump.

In a related context, Republican Senator James David Vance, a candidate for vice president, emphasized the need to deport a large number of illegal immigrants.

The U.S. presidential elections are set to be held on November 5, where Vice President Kamala Harris will compete for the Democratic Party and former President Donald Trump for the Republican Party.
