Montreal witnesses two separate stabbing incidents

Two men were stabbed in Montreal early yesterday Saturday in separate incidents, and according to the Montreal Police (SPVM), one of the stabbing incidents involved the theft of a mobile phone.

At around 1:10 AM, officers were called to Langelier metro station, located in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district. Upon arrival, they found a man in his twenties with multiple stab wounds to his arm and hand, who was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two 19-year-old youths were also arrested at the scene, and the police will review the identified surveillance camera footage.

In a similar incident in the Ville Marie area, another man was stabbed. The 29-year-old victim was attacked after leaving a building on Clarke Street, near René-Lévesque Street, and was transported to the hospital with injuries to the lower body. According to the SPVM, his life is not in danger, no one has been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
