In a tweet on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, a short while ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, "The killing of one of our citizens by 'Israeli' bombing while delivering food to civilians in Gaza is absolutely unacceptable."
Adding, "'Israel' is obligated to ensure the safety of relief workers, and the world deserves an explanation regarding what happened in Gaza."
Trudeau expressed his solidarity with the family of the Canadian citizen who was killed in the incident, saying: "My thoughts are with the family of Jacob Flenger, the Canadian citizen who was among the dead in an Israeli airstrike on a aid vehicle. He was killed while delivering food to needy civilians, and his death is absolutely unacceptable."
Adding, "At a time when humanitarian aid in Gaza is urgently needed, Israel is obligated to ensure the safety of relief workers. The world – and its loved ones – deserve an explanation of how this happened."
