More than 55,000 Hydro-Québec customers are still without power this morning as crews continue their efforts to restore electricity after a major spring storm.
A notice from the utility indicates that they have nearly 600 crews, or about 1,200 workers, in the field.
Hydro One workers in Ontario are working to clear the remaining outages affecting the company’s customers.
Fewer than 9,000 homes and businesses are still without electricity.
The spring storm that caused chaos has moved to northeastern New Brunswick, which is now dealing with heavy wet snow and icy conditions.
However, NB Power officials listed only 1,928 outage cases for customers, most of them in the Northumberland Miramichi area.
