Large explosion at a chemical plant in China amid fears of casualties

A strong explosion occurred this morning, Saturday, at a chemical factory in China.

China Central Television reported that a strong explosion occurred at one of the chemical factories in Jiangxi Province in eastern China, amid news of casualties, according to the Russian TASS agency.

According to data, the incident took place at noon Beijing time in the city of Jiujiang at the "Jiangxi Qiantai New Materials" facility.

Security and rescue teams have arrived at the scene, and an investigation into the causes of the explosion is underway.
