Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia have rejected the United States' requests to contribute troops to a peacekeeping force in Gaza after the war, according to an Arab official and a second source familiar with the matter speaking to the Times of Israel.
The Arab official stated that the sent troops will be seen as "protecting Israel from the Palestinians," clarifying the opposition of Amman, Doha, and Riyadh to the efforts made by the United States to secure Gaza after the war.
On the other hand, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have expressed their willingness to participate in the efforts, according to three officials speaking to the Times of Israel in June.
However, they clarified that Cairo and Abu Dhabi have a series of conditions, including that the peacekeeping force should be part of an initiative that ultimately leads to a two-state solution – a framework that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected.
