A woman was seriously injured in a collision accident in Scarborough.

A woman was seriously injured after being struck by a car in Scarborough on Saturday night.

The city police said they received a phone call reporting a collision near the Greenholm Ring and Markham Road, north of Lawrence Avenue East, before 10 PM last Saturday.

Paramedics in Toronto say the pedestrian, a woman in her twenties, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but her life is not in danger.

The police say the driver of the car remained at the scene.
