This small town located on the shores of the lake in Ontario is characterized by a European atmosphere, and it will not cost you a lot of money to visit.
The city of Gananoque, located on the waterfront in the Thousand Islands, is about a three-hour drive from Toronto and is a magical place to spend summer days.
The historic village dates back to the eighteenth century AD when early European settlers began establishing institutions in the area.
The city is also distinguished by the charm of its beauty, from stone buildings to heritage sites, where you will feel like you are strolling through the streets of Europe as you explore the attractive shops and dine in charming restaurants.
Some important things you can do in the area during the summer months include watching a play at the village theater and visiting one of the largest outdoor contemporary art exhibitions in the province in Confederation Park.
You should also visit the Thousand Islands Museum of Local History to learn all about the area and explore beautiful walking trails.
