An Emirati company acquires 30% of an Israeli security technology company.

In a move that reflects the enhancement of technological cooperation between the UAE and Israel, the Israeli company “Eye Shlishit” (the third eye), specialized in developing artificial intelligence systems for security and defense, announced the signing of an agreement with the Emirati group “EDGE” to sell 30% of its shares for 10 million dollars, along with a joint investment of 12 million dollars.

Details of the deal and joint cooperation

“Eye Shlishit” was founded in 2010 and specializes in developing advanced solutions based on artificial intelligence for optical systems and autonomous tools, with a special focus on security and defense, including protection against drones.

As for “EDGE,” it is an Emirati technological and security group founded in 2019, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, comprising more than 25 companies specialized in military and civilian solutions, operating in 140 countries, with cumulative orders worth 12.8 billion dollars.

Creation of a joint venture

In addition to the stock sale agreement, the two parties agreed to establish a joint venture in which “EDGE” will invest 12 million dollars, with the group owning 51% of the project's shares, while “Eye Shlishit” retains 43%, and 6% goes to a third party.

Goals of the joint venture

The new project will work on developing and marketing optoelectronic recognition systems, focusing on specific regions around the world, relying on the intellectual property of “Eye Shlishit.”
