The Defense Agency in the Gaza Strip announced today, Sunday, the evaporation of the remains of martyrs due to the use of the occupation forces of internationally prohibited weapons, noting that 82 personnel of the agency have been martyred and more than 720 others injured by the fire of the occupation since the war on Gaza began on October 7.

• Destruction of Civil Defense Headquarters in the Strip
A statement from the Civil Defense indicated that its headquarters in the Strip had been completely or partially destroyed, in addition to its vehicles being targeted by artillery fire and bombardment from the occupation forces, according to Anadolu Agency.

The statement added that "the occupation intends to stop humanitarian work and our interventions that contribute to saving lives and protecting souls, as the occupation increases the suffering of citizens by preventing our humanitarian interventions and targeting our crews."

It pointed out that the Civil Defense crews have been able throughout the war to recover the remains of 35,000 people, noting that there are 10,000 corpses under the rubble.

The statement noted that the agency was unable to respond to thousands of distress calls due to a lack of fuel, targeting its equipment and headquarters, and the occupation's closure of many areas where citizens are located, preventing Civil Defense crews from responding to assist the affected people in the areas that it has militarily closed.

* Evaporation of the remains of 1,760 martyrs
The statement mentioned that the Civil Defense Agency "has recorded the evaporation of about 1,760 corpses due to the use of the occupation army of internationally prohibited weapons that cause the bodies to evaporate," noting that the agency was unable to register the data of the deceased in the relevant government records.

It reported the disappearance of 2,210 corpses from graves in various locations throughout the Gaza Strip.

* 85,000 tons of explosives to bombard Gaza
The Defense Agency in Gaza continued: "The occupation's dropping of nearly 85,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip has led to the destruction of more than 80 percent of the urban infrastructure and 90 percent of the infrastructure, including 17 percent of unexploded ordnance."

The statement pointed out that "the explosives in the Strip are considered hazardous waste, posing a danger to the lives of citizens due to the occupation's neutralization of the explosive material waste management crew, which poses a direct threat to the lives of Palestinians and has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 90 children due to tampering with the remnants of the occupation that resemble food cans."
