Words Studios, based in Montreal, is looking for individuals passionate about virtual reality games to join their team as video game testers.
Although it may seem like a dream job, it is actually a real job filled with all kinds of responsibilities. If selected, you will become part of the studio's candidate pool, meaning you will be contacted whenever needed.
As a video game tester, you must collaborate with your team leader and colleagues while searching for bugs in the virtual reality games produced by the company.
Below is a breakdown of the requirements you need to meet before applying:
Able to test virtual reality games for 8 hours daily with appropriate breaks
Available to work full-time from Monday to Friday
Be 18 years or older and hold a high school diploma
Excellent English skills, both spoken and written
A resident of the Montreal area
Flexible to work from both home and office based on project requirements
Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to adapt to different tasks
A genuine passion for video games and the gaming industry
Holder of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, work permit, or work permit application
Now, here are the benefits you will receive if hired:
Words Studios pays video game testers $17.35 per hour, with a $2.50 bonus for shifts after 7:00 PM. If you work from home, the company will provide online support, and you will earn one day off for every 160 hours worked in the office.
You will also have access to partnerships with prestigious institutions such as STM, Telus, and BIXI, among others. Additionally, Words Studios in Montreal organizes webinars, virtual social events, and virtual training to promote professional growth and engagement.
