A campaign official for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris revealed that as of 11 a.m. on Tuesday, more than 100,000 doors had been knocked on by campaign staff and volunteers across Pennsylvania, a key state in the election race.
The Vice President held her last rally in Philadelphia on Monday evening, while her campaign continued ground efforts on Tuesday, according to her advisor to CNN.
Harris's advisor said: "We are committed to covering every inch of the field... and the instruction is: keep knocking on doors until the end."
The Harris campaign expressed confidence in its outreach strategy, as it sought to broaden its base by appealing to disgruntled Republicans in the conservative rural counties that previously supported Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Harris stated during a radio interview on Tuesday morning: "I will spend today, all day, talking to people and reminding them of the importance of getting out to vote. In this regard, I remind listeners that today is Election Day."
She added: "I urge everyone to remember that in our democracy, it is the people who decide, and your vote is your power."
