Nearly four weeks after the launch of the federal election campaign in Canada, Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre continues his campaign tours without yet announcing his party's complete platform, raising questions about the party's strategy and whether it intends to present a detailed document before the election date.

Despite the heightened competition with the Liberal Party and the Conservatives' lead in several polls during the first weeks of the campaign, Poilievre has so far only presented a series of separate pledges focused primarily on issues such as housing, taxes, crime, and immigration.

In an interview with CBC, Poilievre stated that he does not feel that presenting a comprehensive document is necessary at this stage, noting that voters can "judge the party's intentions based on the issues and principles emphasized over the past two years."

The Conservative leader confirmed that his party "will be clear about its priorities through the commitments announced gradually," without specifying a timeline for releasing a complete official platform. He added: "People know we will lower taxes, stop crime, and address the housing crisis."

In contrast, the Liberal Party criticized Poilievre's delay in presenting a cohesive vision, with former Health Minister and member of the Carney campaign team Mark Holland stating that "the lack of an official program raises questions about what Poilievre is hiding in his plans," adding that "voters deserve transparency before heading to the polls."

For his part, New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh confirmed that his party will present its complete platform in the coming days, pointing out that "the absence of a detailed plan from the Conservatives is part of a pattern relying on populist rhetoric without concrete content."

As the voting date approaches, pressures are mounting on Poilievre to provide a detailed document clarifying the financial costs of his commitments and the means he will follow to implement them, especially amid concerns of the country entering a phase of economic contraction due to the escalating trade war with the United States.
