With the return of the sun on the first weekend of February, Toronto residents may wonder what the rest of the month holds for the city in terms of weather.
According to the Weather Network and Environment Canada, it seems that the unusually mild temperatures will continue for at least the next few weeks.
The network also expects an early spring-like feel in many parts of the country over the coming weeks, due to the El Niño phenomenon, which is known to cause warmer-than-usual weather.
While most parts of the country will experience temperatures staying above seasonal levels during the first half of the month, the weather is expected to change by the end of February.
The polar vortex is likely to bring colder temperatures than current ones in the last ten days of this month and for part of March at least, but without snow, resulting in continued low snowfall this winter in the region.
According to Environment Canada, Toronto will see about 3 or 4 degrees Celsius in the coming days under sunny skies, dropping to highs of 0 at the coldest temperatures during the next week.
