Canada experiences variable weather conditions throughout the four seasons of the year, ranging from heavy rainfall and dense snow to cold winds and warm temperatures year-round
CTV meteorologist Kelsy McEwen reported that heavy rain is moving to the east coast today, Friday, leading to flood risks in Atlantic Canada.

She said that between 30 to 90 mm of rain could fall on New Brunswick from Friday to Saturday.

The northern areas of the province are likely to expect less rain, about 25 to 45 mm , with the possibility of more rain tomorrow, Saturday.

Rainfall is expected to reach 60 mm in Nova Scotia, and parts of Newfoundland and Labrador could see up to 70 mm, with rain potentially continuing Friday through Saturday.

McEwen also said that residents along the southern shore of the Gaspe Peninsula St. Lawrence River in Quebec may face rainfall ranging from 30 to 50 mm from Friday  to Saturday.

In Ontario, Canadian Environmental officials told communities on the northeast coast of Lake Superior to expect snowstorms, leading to snowfall of 15 to 35 centimeters. McEwen said the highest amounts are likely south of Wawa, and these warnings are expected to end later Friday morning

Air quality warnings continue in British Columbia as some areas, including Prince George Stuart Nechakog, have fire bans due to dry conditions. The Canadian Environment Department said the dust warning will remain in effect until it rains, the dust settles, or traffic patterns change.
