Temperatures are expected to drop today, Wednesday, in several Canadian cities.

A sharp cold front sweeping through Quebec is also expected to cause temperatures to decrease rapidly throughout the day, with some areas likely experiencing a shift from rain to snow.

The Canadian Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has issued warnings for rapid freezing east of Quebec City, including the FROMCharlevoix area, with temperatures expected to drop by 10 degrees, causing water to freeze, and surfaces such as highways and sidewalks may become icy and slippery.

There is a warning for snowfall over parts of the Gaspe Peninsula, where heavy snow and strong winds can combine to reduce visibility on the roads.

Temperatures could drop to two degrees Celsius below zero on Wednesday night, after reaching a maximum of 19.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

The normal daytime maximum temperature today, Wednesday, in Montreal is 13 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is 3 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures may return to rising by Friday, with more moderate air expected over the weekend.
