Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Asian leaders to participate in this month's summit to discuss his country's peace plan, stating that establishing a path to end the Russian war would help alleviate the consequences of global disruptions.
Bloomberg News reported that Zelensky said at the Shangri-La Dialogue Forum in Singapore on Sunday that by participating in the summit hosted by Switzerland, Asian leaders would engage in global defense and unite against the war.
The summit is set to address nuclear weapons, food security, and the release of war prisoners.
Zelensky stated at the forum: "After the peace summit, when the global majority agrees on common understanding and steps, the concerned parties will present these matters to Russia with the aim of reaching a result similar to the grain initiative."
