Toronto police are investigating after a video posted on social media showed 5 officers arresting a man in a TTC subway car, with at least one officer seen kicking the man in the head and body.
The violent interaction appears to have occurred at Eglinton West subway station last Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the police said that the man arrested was charged with one theft and three counts of failing to comply with surveillance, but it is unclear what exactly prompted them to deploy officers to arrest him.
In the video, officers are seen dragging the man from a seated position in the subway before one officer kicks him three times.
Then one officer shouted, "Stop, stop, stop, stop.. that's enough," before the video ended.
Toronto police stated that their Professional Standards Unit is investigating the incident.
