The satellite channel "Al Jazeera" reported the killing of 3 people and the injury of 3 others in an Israeli raid on the town of Mefdoun in southern Lebanon, as breaking news this Tuesday morning.

Earlier, the National News Agency in Lebanon reported that an enemy drone attacked around ten minutes past ten in the morning, on a two-story house in the Al-Nadi neighborhood in the town of Mefdoun.

The Lebanese channel "MTV" pointed out that ambulance teams immediately went to the scene of the incident, noting that several injuries were reported.

Iran vowed a "severe response" to Israel, which it accuses of assassinating Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on Wednesday. His assassination came hours after the assassination of Hezbollah commander Fouad Shukr in Beirut.

There are fears that Hezbollah may play a significant role in any such retaliatory response, which could in turn lead to a serious Israeli retaliation.
