The Israeli occupation army attributed its failure to intercept a drone that targeted Tel Aviv in a qualitative operation claimed by the Houthis, to what it called a "human error."

The "Times of Israel" newspaper explained that "due to no action being taken against the long-range attacking drone that targeted Tel Aviv, no sirens were sounded."

An Israeli military official told Reuters that the drone that hit Tel Aviv was "of a larger and longer range, and an investigation is still underway regarding its source."

A statement from the Israeli police reported the death of a man in his fifties and 10 others with minor injuries.

The Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, stated that the air force carried out a qualitative operation targeting Tel Aviv, explaining: "We bombed Tel Aviv with a new drone of the Yafa model."

Saree confirmed the group's possession of a target bank in occupied Palestine, adding: "We will continue to strike it in response to the enemy's massacres."

In solidarity with the "Gaza Strip," which has been facing a devastating Israeli war since October 7, the Houthis are targeting Israeli or associated cargo ships in the Red Sea with missiles and drones.

Since the beginning of this year, a U.S.-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes that it claims target "Houthi sites" in various parts of Yemen, in response to their attacks in the Red Sea, which has been met with retaliatory responses from the group from time to time.

With the involvement of Washington and London and the escalation of tensions last January, the Houthi group announced that it now considers all American and British ships among its military targets.
