The Minister of Industry in the caretaker government, George Boujkian, presented the relations between Lebanon and Canada with the Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Stéphanie Macoulm.
He emphasized the importance of these relations "and their extension over the years that have passed." He thanked her for "welcoming Lebanese people in Canada and for their integration into Canadian society, and their contribution to enhancing the economy and developing relations between Canada and their homeland." He expressed his confidence in "Canada's readiness to increase exchange between the two countries and help Lebanon overcome its economic crisis."
