Relatives of the victims of the "Hezbollah" drone attack on a military training base for the "Golani" unit in Binyamina, northern Israel, revealed their moments during the incident to the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth".

"The scene of these young recruits who were just drafted in August will stay with them for a long time," said one relative of the wounded in the airstrike conducted by a drone belonging to "Hezbollah" in the dining hall at the Golani Brigade training base near Binyamina, which resulted in the deaths of four soldiers and injured eight others, with some in critical condition and nine in moderate condition while the rest are in good condition.

A relative of one of the injured at Hillel Yaffe Hospital said: "The drone was not detected, and no alerts were activated, which could have led to everyone taking cover. I don't want to call it neglect, but there is a failure here... and when one drone was intercepted, the other one disappeared."

Another relative of one of the injured who was transported to Hillel Yaffe Hospital said: "There was a precise hit in the base... One of my family members emerged from the incident, but the scenes he and his friends witnessed were extremely distressing. The air force will have to conduct a thorough investigation... There was a major failure here...".
He added: "Residents of Kiryat and Bikanum informed the police about the strange object; why didn't they put the entire sector in a defensive mode by activating alerts as they did in the Yom Kippur incident in Herzliya? They should have activated a range of alarms to prevent this catastrophe."

Hagit Ohayon, whose son Yarin was lightly injured in the incident, said in an interview with the "Wynet" website: "A miracle happened to them. They entered the dining hall around 19:15, and as soon as they sat down, a large explosion occurred. There was a lot of chaos, dust, smoke, and loud noise, and it took me a minute to realize it was a drone because no alert was activated. He wrote us a message saying he was okay and mentioned that there were casualties because he probably saw... I don't understand why there isn't a solution for that."

Hillel Yaffe Hospital reported this morning that the four soldiers being treated at the hospital in critical condition are currently stable and that their lives are not in danger.

Most of the injured who arrived yesterday evening suffered from penetrating injuries and shrapnel, and at Rambam Hospital in Haifa, two soldiers are currently receiving treatment in moderate condition due to the drone incident, and one of the injured who arrived at the hospital in critical condition died from his injuries.

At the "Ha'emek" Medical Center in Afula, the hospital is currently treating four soldiers who were lightly injured, and the parents of one of the injured who is being treated in the surgery department of the hospital said: "A great miracle happened to us... Yesterday, just minutes after the explosion, he called us and informed us, and we arrived immediately. We have been by his side since then."

Galit, the mother of a soldier being treated at Hillel Yaffe Hospital, stated: "My son was sitting with three of the soldiers who were killed and survived. A miracle happened."

According to her, "The drone struck their table in the middle of the dining hall. He went to help one of his injured friends and then saw that he himself was bleeding from his head. They came to eat late, after a school day. What a disaster... in the dining hall."

Regarding her son's condition, she explained: "He has many shrapnel wounds in his hand and abdomen, but thank God he survived. He doesn't talk much, but he sees difficult and unpleasant scenes... I hope he can recover psychologically."

The father of another soldier questioned: "I don't understand why we didn't activate all alert systems to prevent the heavy catastrophe. In the dining hall, there were dozens of young soldiers who came for dinner. The alarms were not activated... The drone penetrated the ceiling through the dining hall roof and exploded. I hope my son and the other injured soldiers also recover mentally; they saw serious situations for their bloody friends, and they were crying for help, wanting to assist."

Hagit Ohayon, the mother of Yarin Ohayon, one of the injured in the drone attack, said: "Yesterday, around 19:20 in the evening, he sent us a message in the family WhatsApp group saying that everything is fine with him and that the drone fell and there are casualties... He immediately knew there were casualties. I called him, and I heard him in chaotic noises, similar to a mess, and he said: 'I'm fine, I'll talk to you.' I had just driven, headed toward the base, then he said he was directed to Beilinson."

She continued: "We arrived here. From what I understood from him, there was no alert; they simply entered the dining hall, sat down, and a large explosion occurred. From what I understood, this was not even the usual time for them... They were eating, returning from somewhere, and even pleaded to open their room. There was smoke, chaos, blood, and he described to us difficult things he witnessed."

Last night, the Israeli army announced the death of 4 soldiers in the attack carried out by "Hezbollah" on a military base south of Haifa.

The Israeli army spokesperson stated in a statement: "Four soldiers were killed due to the explosion of a drone this evening (Sunday) in a military base near Binyamina, and 7 others were injured seriously."

For its part, "Hezbollah" announced that it targeted a training camp for the Golani Brigade in Binyamina, south of Haifa, with a swarm of kamikaze drones, confirming that "the Islamic resistance will remain present and ready to defend our country and our noble and oppressed people and will not shy away from fulfilling its duty to deter the enemy, and God is capable of all things."

"Hezbollah" also issued a statement early Monday morning warning that it will make Haifa and areas outside of Haifa targets for the resistance's missiles and drones akin to Kiryat Shmona, Metula, and other border settlements.
